For castings where standard tolerances are not sufficient, precise customisation is carried out using mechanical machining processes.
Advanced CNC turning and milling centres equipped with 3- to 5-axis technology are used in this process.
These allow the required dimensional accuracy to be set precisely in specific areas in order to fulfil the requirements. Each machining operation is customised to the individual specifications of the cast parts in order to achieve maximum precision.
The final inspection includes a careful check of the cast and machined surfaces. Dimensions that are of particular importance are checked in accordance with the guidelines. The inspection of gauges is carried out by prior arrangement.
Depending on the customer's specific requirements, additional inspections may be carried out: Separate certification of melt analysis, evaluation of mechanical properties, leakage tests and examinations of the internal and external structure using magnetic particle or penetrant methods are possible.
